WILMAPCO, in partnership with DelDOT, New Castle County, DNREC, and Delaware Greenways, is developing a plan for a network of pedestrian and bike pathways in New Castle County.

Linking the existing 83 miles of pathways in New Castle County, the plan will propose an off-road network of walking and bicycling routes. These planned pathways will increase transportation choices and access to recreation, schools, community facilities and other destinations. The Plan will assist New Castle County and DelDOT to coordinate land use development and transportation projects with pathway/greenway trail implementation.

Three Open House Workshops will be held to get community feedback on proposed pathway routes or additional ones. The public is invited to attend anytime between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.:

• May 23 - WILMAPCO Offices - 850 Library Ave., Suite 100, Newark
• May 31 - Brandywine Hundred Library - 1300 Foulk Rd., Wilmington
• June 8 - Middletown Town Hall - 19 West Green St., Middletown
