Recent car break-ins

FROM: Councilman David Tackett
TO: Residents in the 11th District

NOTE FROM COUNCILMAN TACKETT

I would like to provide some information on the rash of recent car break-ins that have affected communities in our entire area.

Until the person or persons are caught, I would suggest not leaving any valuables in your vehicle. The majority of break-ins happen because the thief finds something of interest. Also, keep your car locked and park under lighting whenever possible, never leave your vehicle unsecured or articles inside the vehicle in plain view. Please keep your vehicle locked and windows closed at all times, do not leave articles such as purses, electronic equipment, etc. in plain view as these items will draw attention and subject your vehicle to a break-in.

If you notice any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity in the area, call 911 immediately or call 573-2800 which is the non-emergency number.

As always, contact me with any questions or concerns.

Regards,
Dave Tackett
